Hello there and welcome to Bleeping Computer's security forum.
My name is David, I will be helping you with your log today.

It is a good idea to print off these instructions. There is a possibility some of the instructions will need to be carried out where internet access is not available. It is important that you complete the instructions in the right order, and that you don't miss out any steps.

Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following if still present:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GPLv3] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ubggwrbi.dll",realset
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} - http://software-dl.real.com/310c25e64c1442...ip/RdxIE601.cab
O23 - Service: Net Agent - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\dls0523pmw.exe

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Open hijackthis, click 'config' (bottom right) Choose the tab 'misc Tools' on top.
Choose 'delete a file on reboot'. In the field, copy and paste the filepath a few lines below.
Click open. Hijackthis will tell you that this file will be deleted on next reboot and if you want to reboot now.
When asked if you want to reboot now, say Yes:
C:\WINDOWS\dls0523pmw.exe

Allow the PC to reboot, if it doesn't do it automatically, please reboot manually.

Please click on start > run > and type: sc stop "Net Agent"
Hit enter and let the DOS windows open and close. This is normal.

Please do the same for this command:
sc delete "Net Agent

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Please download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe to launch the application.

Follow the prompts that will be displayed on the screen.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.
When finished, it should produce a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.

Don't forget the vundofix log!

Good work! Let's continue..

It is a good idea to print off these instructions. There is a possibility some of the instructions will need to be carried out where internet access is not available. It is important that you complete the instructions in the right order, and that you don't miss out any steps.

Please set your system to show all files.
Click Start, open My Computer, select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.

Please click on start > run > and type: attrib -a -h -r -s "C:\WINDOWS\iwxldvgA.exe"
Hit enter and let the DOS windows open and close. This is normal.

Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following if still present:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1006364E-2147-4BB3-A899-E803341E1232} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\msekkexv.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2E9D4C81-9F27-4c14-B804-7B0F6BC88A4F} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BD994DE0-3DB9-44DF-A4B0-999D5D76341A} - C:\Program Files\Common Files\viwy58441.dll

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Now reboot into Safe Mode.
This can be done tapping the F8 key as soon as you start your computer
You will be brought to a menu where you can choose to boot into safe mode.
Make sure you choose the option without networking support.

Using Windows Explorer, please locate the following files/folders, and delete them if still present:

C:\Documents and Settings\test\Application Data\WinAntiVirus Pro 2007 <--folder

That was quick!! Next time I will paste the file instead of attaching...

Sorry, I forgot to add that it's much easier for me to read the logs if they are pasted on the forum.
In future, if possible, please do not use attachments as reading the text in notepad hurts my eyes!

The Kaspersky log is fine for you to attach, that ones quite easy to read!

It is a good idea to print off these instructions. There is a possibility some of the instructions will need to be carried out where internet access is not available. It is important that you complete the instructions in the right order, and that you don't miss out any steps.

Click on start, then control panel, and then double-click on add/remove programs.
From within add/remove program uninstall the following if they exist by double-clicking on the following entries:

Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.1_02
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2

Open hijackthis, click 'config' (bottom right) Choose the tab 'misc Tools' on top.
Choose 'delete a file on reboot'. In the field, copy and paste the filepath a few lines below.
Click open. Hijackthis will tell you that this file will be deleted on next reboot and if you want to reboot now.
When asked if you want to reboot now, say Yes:
C:\WINDOWS\iwxldvg.exe

After the reboot, please find and delete these two folders:
C:\QooBox
C:\VundoFix Backups

We need to purge your infected system restore points.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab near the top of the window.
Check Turn off System Restore, click Apply, and then click OK.
More information on how to disable your system restore can be found here.

We want to create a new, clean restore point. Please first reboot your computer.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab near the top of the window.
Uncheck "Turn off System Restore", click Apply, and then click OK.

Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools, and select System Restore.
In the System Restore wizard, select the box next the text labeled "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
Type a description for your new restore point - Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup".
Click Create, and after it has created the restore point, click "Close".
Further instructions on creating a restore point can be found here

Reboot a final time and let me know how the system is running.
I see a clean HJT log here! :flowers:

I was jst wondering wht benefit would one get in removing java 2 runtime env.? I am sure you might have better reason for removing it. HJT log might be good but I am really worried about the kaspersky scan report which found 23 viruses and 78+ infected objects. Please advice me if there is anything we can do to clean up those infected object. After all those cleanup's, machine still seems to be running little slower then before.... However its much better now that we don't have constant pop-up's..

I will post the new HJT log in few min. Once again thanks for making our computer bugs free!!

Basically, the java runtime environment is updated nearly every month I would say, to a newer, more secure version. When you update Java, it leaves the older, less secure versions of your PC. These older versions are often exploited by malware as they are less secure, so the best thing to do is to simply remove them as they are not needed any more, and because they post a security risk.

The reason the Kaspersky log was so large was that infected items can accumulate in specific areas, namely the system restore folders. It is not uncommon for there to be tens and tens of infected files hiding in these folders. At the same time, you can have multiple infected files in the temporary folders. Finally, some of the tools we use create backup folders, in other words every file the tool deleting is deactivated and stored in a file; Kaspersky detects these files and flags them as malware. That's the reason we deleted those two folders in the previous post.

The Hijackthis log is looking great; nice and clean. How is the PC running?

Thanks for the info. david.. I knew there was some explanation for removing those old files. My laptop is running much smoother now.. I think when this machine was infected with those virus and spyware it kind of got on to my network and ruined my home PC. If you don't mind then I can post the log here for verification. However if you prefer, I can also start the new thread for that machine. Plzz let me know your thoughts...

Once again thanks for helping the rookie.... Appreciate your kindness and gesture

PS: I will load some anti-spyware and network security program before abusing it further :flowers:

Glad I could help! :flowers:
The latest log is looking clean!
Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will be reduced dramatically.
Please start a new thread for the different PC, to make sure things don't get confusing.

Use an Anti Virus Software -
* It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine.
* This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future. See this link for a listing of some on line & their stand-alone anti virus programs:
* Click here for more information on -> Computer Safety On line - Anti-Virus
* I would recommend Grisoft's AVG or AVAST.
* These are the more secure and better ones.

Update your Anti Virus Software - It is imperitive that you update your Anti virus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your anti virus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.

Use a Firewall -
* I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer.
* Without a firewall your computer is susceptible to being hacked and taken over.
* Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly.
* For an article on Firewalls and a listing of some available ones see the link below:
* Click here for more information on -> Computer Safety On line - Software Firewalls
* I would recommend ZoneAlarm as a firewall as it's easy to use.

Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently -
* It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly.
* This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer.
* If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.

Next, if they're not already present, I would recommend the download and installation of some or all of the following programs (all free), and the updating of them regularly

Install Spybot© - Search and Destroy- Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option.
* This will provide real-time spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection.
* You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an anti virus software.
* A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
* Click here for more info -->Instructions for - Spybot S & D and Ad-aware

Install Lavasofts© Ad-Aware - Install and download Ad-Aware.
* You should also scan your computer with the program on a regular basis just as you would an anti virus software in conjunction with Spybot.
* A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
* Click here for more info -->Instructions for - Spybot S & D and Ad-aware

Install Javacools© SpywareBlaster -
* SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer and Firefox settings and that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
* A article on anti-malware products with links for this program and others can be found here:
* Click here for more info -->Computer Safety on line - Anti-Malware

Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly.
Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
 If you wish to learn how to use HijackThis to remove malware, you might like to join the Malware Removal Training Program!

If you have any addition questions just ask...
David
