Hello,

I'm new here but can't see if anyone else has posted this problem.

I have a Sony Vaio loaded with Windows XP home and Internet Explorer 7. Microsoft keep sending auto updates and when my comp downloads them, I.E.7 ceases to access the WWW. If I do 'system restore' it's ok till the next update and it repeats again.

I'm sure there must be settings I can change but I don't know where. Anyone help please?

P.S. Microsoft will not help by email. They want 38 pounds plus vat to ring a premium rate phoneline to get the answer!

Regards

Angie.

Does this behavior continue if you revert to IE6? (uninstall IE7 in the Add/Remove Programs applet of Control Panel)

If that fixes it, does a subsequent reinstall of IE7 work properly (if you care to chance it)?
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Thank you John!

It works okay now, and I've re-installed IE7.

Grateful for your help!
