I was downloading a firewall and at the end of the installation it asked me to restart my computer. From that point forward, the computer started to automatically restart continuously before my desktop and settings load, so I'm unable to get on to the desktop normally. I'm suspecting its a worm (given in the title) and the most I've done so far is been able to start the computer in safe mode, but nothing past that. Can anyone help me from this point on?

Windows malicious software removal tool will remove the malware. I suspect though you don't have that.

Did you just reinstall Windows?

Symantec has a removal tool. Whether it is up to date or if it still works I don't know.

Funny thing is that I tried these along with other programs and none of them could detect a worm. I actually tried over 5 different cleaners, none of them found a thing (could not locate worm). So, I guess this is a problem. Does this mean that I'll have to reinstall Windows or is there some other way?
