Is that a dig or what?

I just thought it was amusing, seeing as PB are selling me a laptop using a Windows OS yet tell me not to use their program

You're Irish... that's pretty cool. I didn't think PB's were mainstream in the U.S. Does Turi mean anything there?

I wasn't suspecting you were from the US, especially since your profile said NIreland. I was just saying, I haven't seen many PB's in the U.S. (and I was wondering how someone in the U.S. got one because I immediately believe everyone on here is from the US till I check their profile)

Well in the US the big sellers are Hewlett-Packard, Dell, and the luxury gamers like AlienWare and VooDoo.

Pff in ur dreams man. If you want a cheap PC you build it yourself. AW and Voodoo will charge 2-3 times as much as something actually costs.

It's true. My bro wants to build a laptop

If my screen breaks, a new one will cost double the actual cost of my laptop!!

Building laptops is hard, as a laptop shell or case is built specifically for the part the manufacturer designed to put inside. Laptops are something you will want to buy from a big company or have someone build you one.

Packard Bells used to be "big" in the US. Sears, Roebuck and Co. sold them in the early 90's. (Is it bad I still call it S/R&c when its now Kmart Holdings Corp). But mainly its a branding thing now (when Hewlett bought into Packard bell they changed the Brand Name in the US)

 Hewlett Packard never had anything to do with Packard Bell. It was just name confusion.
