I have just tried to rip a cd (as MP3 format) using Windows Media Player but I get the message "cannot rip one or more tracks from CD".

I have looked online for fixes to this problem and have tried changing the bit rate and also deleting a registry entry but neither have worked. I cannot rip in WMA format either.

I have previously ripped cds successfully and the problem is not limited to this one CD.

Can anyone offer any further help?

Thanks

You could try using some free software from the internet.

My advice would be to roll back to wmp10 and try again.Lots of people have problems after upgrading to version wmp11.
