Cd/dvd Drive Not Detected-help!

hey friends, i have reinstalled windows xp sp-2... after that i have installed all audio,vga drivers from CD-ROM... but after that another day when i start my pc my computer not detecting cd/dvd drive... in MY COMPUTER in removable storage device i can only able 2 find floppy drive... how 2 solve it.... plz help me out....

Look in your device manager, if it's there uninstall the drive and reboot your computer. Windows should find it and reinstall it. If it does not, and does not show up in the device manager it might be the cable or power came unplugged. If it's there and still not recognized it might be needing a driver update. :thumbsup:
