Latest WindowsUpdates for my home XP/home-SP2 machine wants to patch a security issue with CAPICOM (MS07-028). I've never seen any reference to CAPICOM before. Web searches don't tell me much, except that I do not run the applications it is supposedly associated with. Curious exactly what CAPICOM is, where it may have come from. And if it's some option I may not really need, how to remove it.

Thanks Mark, I've seen these pages. AFAIK, I have none of the 'Affected software', (Platform SDK Redistrubutable, BizTalk Server).

Really trying to figure out where it came from.
