I have Add or Remove Programs showing updates, and set to sort by name and it doesn't show any Windows XP updates. It also just shows about 61 programs out of 300 updates / programs and when I click something it says the name of it, and off to the right it says when it was used, and when it was last accessed. I can't uninstall anything! Help!!!!! :flowers: :trumpet:

UGH! I also just realized I don't have Paint either!! o___<

There are a few things you can try:

Add or Remove Programs tool appears to stop responding

And there are some regisrty edits at Kelly's Korner.

Add or Remove - Administrator Error - #188 on the left.

Undo Remove Add or Remove Restrictions - #208 on the right.

As with any registry edits you should backup your registry first.

I also had this experience before
And it just vanish suddenly even Internet Explorer may vanish
Well theres no direct solution but an alternative would do....
Here try these alternatives:
(For Internet Explorer)Download Firefox
(For Paint) Download Paint.NET
Don't forget to download .NET Framework before you download Paint.NEt under the minimum system requirements
