The "My Documents" folder of recent documents in the start menu recently started emptying itself of all documents. It isn't a continual occurrence, that is if I use a document it will be found in the folder for a while, but the next day the folder will be completely empty, until I use documents that day, after which I can find them in the "My Documents" folder until the next day, and etc. I'm running the home edition of Windows XP on a Dell Dimension desktop. I don't recall making any changes to the computer recently, but I did install a downloaded version of "Handbrake" recently, a program that converts video to be compatible with iPod. I have run Symantec AntiVirus, Windows Defender and Adaware SE to check for virus, but did not find anything. Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It appears that a program is clearing your "Recent Documents" on a schedule that you're not aware of. I'd check for programs that you've installed that will allow you to change settings or security of your system.
