My home page is changed to WWW.protectstand.com and I am getting several warnings that I am infected. I have Norton but it has not found it. How do I get rid of this trojan virus??

Try running these free scans in safe mode and see if that doesn't clear it up. Let us know how it goes or if you've any further questions.



Download,install,update the applications,then reboot into safe mode and scan.

I used the rouge remover and it worked! Thanks. I still have a shield in the rt lower corner that keeps flashing a question mark and X. It says I have been infected. How do I get rid of that thing? So many questions,, Sorry!

hey i have that question mark and X thing and it flashes too and it says i have been infected. Is that the spychush? Well obviously it is saying we are fakely infected. I cant get rid of that, computer is running sooo slow. and its making all weird noises.... i hate computers i do not know anything about them and i dont know what to use to try and get rid of all these pop ups etc... Sorry to crash your thread...

For the remaining problem, run Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad aware in safe mode, in every user account on the machine. They will remove the remaining issue.

Sorry to be annoing again, but does it HAVE to be run in safe mode? alot of things dont open in safe mode on my computer.

Yes, Spybot and Adaware will actually clean the malware better in safe mode.
