Spamfighter And Thunderbird

I've recently switched to fire fox and thunderbird and quite pleased with the ease and
efficiency of the transition.
Prior to this i used Spamfighter with IE with good results, but wondered why Spamfighter
shows up in the folders column of Thunderbird but doesn't work, in case anyone else had
similar problems.......
