I have some files on one of my other hard disks that I want to delete, but whenever I try to, I get an error message saying:

[codebox]Cannot remove folder MP8ZELM5: Access is denied.

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.[/codebox]

The hard disk used to be from another computer, of which the OS died on, and there was some data on it I wanted to keep, so I just deleted everything that I didn't want. Most everything deleted, except for the old config files from my profile (I think that's what it is...)

I've tried EVERYTHING, from shutting down explorer.exe and trying to remove it from command prompt (the files don't even SHOW UP), to booting into PCLOS and trying to remove them that way. NOTHING WORKS. How do I get rid of these stupid things?

Have you tried deleting it, in Safe Mode?
How to start Windows in Safe Mode

Have you tried renaming the file, then deleting it?
Name it anything you want, like trash, old, useless, ........ whatever.

Have you checked the folder's Properties?
Right click the folder, and select Properties.
Make sure it's not set to Read-only.
If it is, uncheck it, click Apply, and click OK.
Now try to delete it.

If none of the above works, here are a couple of programs, you can try:
Eraser
Delete Doctor
