Hi, first of all, thank you to anyone who responds...

I am using Microsoft Windows 2000, 5.00.2195, Service Pack 4. I have a number of anti-virus/spyware programs, but I notice my primary one, Ewido, does not open. Also, my task manager will open, then instantly close before I can press anything.

I have had a lot of problems in the past with adware, trojan horses, and after recently running Spybot S&D, I was surprised to see several of the problems have the format:

Windows Security Center.AntivirusDiableNotify
Windows Security Center.AntivirusOverride
Windows Security Center.FirewallDisableNotify
Windows Security Center.FirewallOverride
Windows Security Center.SP2Update
Windows Security Center.TaskManager
Windows Security Center.UpdateDisableNotify
Windows.System

Needless to say, I am worried, and I don't think this is good news here. Thank you for your time!

Adam

Now that you posted a log you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make may cause confusion for the member assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

Good luck.
