Hello,

* Go to start > controlpanel > software > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall next if present:

Enhanced Ads by Think-Adz
Think-Adz Search Assistant
ExploreUpdSched

Reboot aftwards.

After reboot,

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B4F401BB-CB5C-46F9-A991-2C74C0437665} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\lmarxpvw.dll (file missing)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [{6D-DF-F4-48-ZN}] C:\windows\system32\nqdsregr.exe OLI001
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ExploreUpdSched] C:\WINDOWS\system32\swinrodu.exe OLI001
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BitTorrent] "d:\Program Files\BitTorrent\bittorrent.exe" --force_start_minimized
<== it is a bad idea to let p2p programs start up with Windows
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DNA] "C:\Program Files\BitTorrent_DNA\dna.exe" <== it is a bad idea to let p2p programs start up with Windows
O4 - Startup: TA_Start.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dwdsregt.exe
O4 - Startup: Think-Adz.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\swinrodu.exe

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Hello,

I see you have installed a hacking tool to crack passwords on login sites. (HTTP Brute Forcer). I know this is installed by purpose and not because malware installed it.
It's a pity to see this being installed while we are actually helping you to get rid of malware and you, on the other side are just doing what malware writers do - cracking and hacking passwords from other users

Anyway,
Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winpfz32.sys
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\swinrodv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\tmp.reg
C:\WINDOWS\bhwin.sys
C:\WINDOWS\assys.dll
C:\WINDOWS\ffnsys.dll
C:\WINDOWS\rsczsys.dll
C:\WINDOWS\mfnsys.dll
C:\WINDOWS\uawin.dll
C:\WINDOWS\snsys.dll
C:\WINDOWS\gstcore.dll

Folder::
C:\avenger
C:\VundoFix Backups
C:\Program Files\HTTP BruteForcer

Registry::
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer]
"NoClose"=-
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\IST Service]

Save this as ComboFix-Do.txt

Then drag the ComboFix-Do.txt into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

Posted Image

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.

I dont see this folder location on my computer (C:\Program Files\HTTP BruteForcer). Are you sure this is on my computer? Where do you see this in the logs?

I just did a search on my computer for Brute Forcer and found nothing. I really don't know what or where it came from.

Hi,

Delete the C:\Qoobox-folder

Your logs look clean again. Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.
Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
    - Examples of older versions in Add or Remove Programs:
    • Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6-windows-i586.exe to install the newest version.
Let me know in your next reply how things are now...

Hi Brad,

Just check and fix next leftover in HijackThis:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C68AE9C0-0909-4DDC-B661-C1AFB9F5AE53} - (no file)

The rest looks ok again. No need to post a new HijackThislog afterwards since I know above one will be gone anyway after you fixed it.

Glad I could help.
