Have you tried to locate the uninstaller and remove it using administrator privileges?

Find the uninstaller in the Start Menu, then right click on it and select Run as Administrator

I'd have to suggest that you search your hard drive and registry for references to Pinnacle, Studio, and pinnaclesys. Once you find them, make backup copies (just in case something gets hosed) and delete them VERY, VERY CAREFULLY!!! until all traces are gone. Reading the results of your searches may also turn up some related search terms - but be very, very careful with them also.

If you're not strapped for hard disk space, then leaving it in place shouldn't hurt anything.
