Hi guys,

I'm having a major problem with my laptop sound - I'm able to see the Video on Media player but NO sound. I have a Sony Vaio PCG-FXA63, mobile AMD Anthlon. 1.40 GHz, 512MB RAM. Please help me. If you need more info just let me know. Thanks.

First check the external dial or slide volume control. Usually on the side or front.
Check the Sound in Control Panel ,
(Adjust sound Volume Tab) unmute or raise the volume level.
(Adjust sound Audio Tab) Advanced, Make certain laptop is selected
Right click the sound icon in system tray, unmute or raise the volume level.
Test the sound by using another file you know has sound.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Other files do work, for example my mp3 cds, pretty much everything except DVDs that's all. Thanks a lot.
