I'm THIS close to throwing this computer out the window right next to me. I've been experiencing problems for a few weeks now. Specifically, when I search on google, all of the results are links to advertisements and shopping sites. Halo won't start. After I tell it to run, nothing happens. 3/4 times, Firefox says it can't find the website I'm looking for. When I try to install a game I downloaded (Trackmania Nations, a game I already had, but I needed to update it to play online), I get halfway through the installation and it disappears! I often hear repeating clicks and other Windows noises out of nowhere. Sometimes I hear audio comercials in the background. I regularly run Spybot, Adaware, and Yahoo! Online Protection, but they keep finding the same things over and over again. All of my scans are up to date, as far as I know. My desktop background used to turn bright red, but after fiddling with my firewall and deleting some files, I managed to put a stop to that. Task Manager is gone, as far as I can tell, and I've tried RRT, but with no success. I went through the startup list on msconfig and disabled anything I didn't need, but that didn't fix anything. Please help me, I have no idea what to do!

PS: I have XP Home Edition, if that helps.
