Wondering is there a way to have at least 1 Moderator on BC at all times. A spammer posted 60 Posts with 180 Links on BC about 12 hrs ago,and not 1 Mod in sight. The members were concerned,as I was and had to watch this clown go about his crazy posting.'tg1911' come on and did a great job clearing 60 posts in next to no time.I realize the Mods do a wonderful job,and if this happens again which it will,is there a way a Mod can be contacted off Forum?

Admin is looking at the options available.

Although this was the largest spam attack to date visible on the BC, it was cleaned up fairly quickly by tg1911.
(TG loves eating Spam.)

Most such are quickly dispatched.

/Joke: Realize of course that Mods do need sleep too.

Members all - please don't waste your time sending a PM to any Spammer.

1. They don't read such or even care. You might only build their egos.

2. It is the BC Staff's job to handle all that.

3. All Staff appreciate the members eyes on this kind of thing.

PM any Mod aboard the BC, or an Admin. Some of us have routines in general when we are on the BC.

You might only build their egos.

This is very true. Once a spammer sees that they are causing chaos for the members, they usually start spamming even more. PM a Moderator/Admin about it, but do not PM them, or post about it on the forums. It is best to just carry on as normal, and not show them that you have noticed them. As this normally causes them to create more chaos. (I apologise if this is out of place or anything)

Great job, TG! Big thanks to you!

Warm regards,
Kyle :flowers:

WTG TG!!!

You can also try the BC chat channel. Between the two, there is usually a Mod somewhere close.

We were very annoyed when this Spam attack was happening.I would have also given this Clown a mouthful like ROB did,had I thought of it. In hindsight we now know how to react to this in future, and I agree with the Mods to simply ignore it. It would be a good idea if any member Posted too many posts in too short a time, their posting ability could be curtailed immediately, till a Mod investigated the reason for excess posting.Just a Thought.

Hi...

 Could one of the admin alter the "Flood Interval" ( Number of seconds a user must wait between posts ) to 1800 or 3600 for all new members until they have reached 10 post then set up member privileges thereafter.
