Not long ago, I began having trouble deleting old or obsolete entries from my favorites list in MSN.

When I use the delete tool in the MSN "organize favorites" section, the item disappears, just as it should. but within a few hours the entry is restored somehow. I tried creating a new favorites folder titled "crap" with the idea of moving my no longer-favorites there and then deleting the folder. Of course not, too logical! Even before I could try deleting the Crap Folder, the unwanted favorites moved themselves back to their original folders. (Though I have been able to delete the empty Crap Folder.)

I am operating Win XP-SP2; MSN Premium 9.5; Norton Antivirus 2006, and Zone Alarm 7.0.
My Norton Antivirus is current and finds no viruses or other problems. Spybot Search & Destroy finds nothing but deletable cookies.

I guess the problem may be in some security setting, but I've been unable to identify which one.
Can anyone explain this? Can anyone tell me how to beat this? Thanks.
