Hi ppl,

sometimes i leave my computer on and go, when i come back i have this Warning msg:
Generic host win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close....

what does this mean??

Right click My Computer > Manage > Expand Event Viewer > Look under Application and/or System to see if there is any event reporting on about it.

Please do let us know if there is, a screenshot would be a great help.

Did you update all the patch by Microsoft? If you have no, please do it and update all possible updates.

Well i have the problem since i re-installed XPwithout allwoing updates to be installed, i will install updates and see.
I did check the event log and it was very ecplicit.

You should have update your Windows. Let me know of the result.

Go to www.imageshack.us and upload the picture. Make sure the extension is jpg/jpeg (for smaller file size).

I spoted another problem.

In network connections, i cant Enable or Disable the Local Area Network , when i press it it doesnt do anything and when i try to activate the firewall it says:Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connetion sharing (ICS service.

I am updating now and i will wait, i should note that i installed the same XP form the same CD many times before but never had this problem but i always used to update.

Download Windows Worms Door Cleaner

http://www.firewallleaktester.com/tools/wwdc.exe

and close all ports, many of u should get ur problems fixed with it
