Advice & Suggestions Please

A friend has newly built system it has XP pro sp2 installed on a SATA HD now,
He has a Vista bus.upgrade disk he would like to install on 2nd HD(SATA)... which hasn't been installed yet.

---------------------sentence edit out-----------------------------

I have never tried installing a 2nd HD in a system as of yet and would like to prevent any unforeseen problems in advance

Any help and advice on how to go about it would be appreciate

Thanks for any help & suggestions

It sounds like you're trying to circumvent the copy protections on the Vista Upgrade disk, which is definately against the rules here.

If that's not what you're asking, then please forgive me and clarify what, exactly you're trying to do.

Not meaning to break any rules here just trying to help out a friend

Not wanting to do anything illegal against M$ just trying to find out the best way to dual boot a system using 2 drives with a OS on each, and the best way to go about it.

And seeing I've never installed a 2nd drive in a system before what steps to take in preparing, setting up a new sata drive to run clean so the install of the OS will run smoothly out of the box

Thanks for any advice
