User Lost Profile

There is a user in our company that can log in and authenticate to the newtwork without a problem, but when her Desktop comes up, she discovered that she lost all of ther Desktop files and links. The same is true for the My Documents folder....it is empty.

I was scouting around and I found her Documents and Desktop links through Windows Explorer in the Documents and Settings/Betty/Desktop and Documents and Settings/Betty/My Documents.

It seems like when she saves a file to her Desktop or her My Documents folder, it is now saved in C:/Desktop and C:/My Documents.

How did this happen???!!!!! She logs in as she always has done; She logs into the network with her network username and password and all of a sudden...her local profile seems to point to the C: drive instead of her Betty folders in Documents and Settings!!!!!

Can anyone offer any input as to what happened and what would be the best way to fix this?

Sounds like her user account became corrupted, somehow.
Have you tried to create a new user account, and then transfer the user's data?
