My sound for most of my computer is perfect - iTunes plays music great, and my instant messenger sound works. But when I go on the internet sound from sites like Youtube and Myspace don't work. I have a 3 year old XP and like I said, the sound is on and nothing is muted, so please don't tell me to unmute it because I am sick of people telling me that. So if you could help me out I'd appreciate that, Thanks.

Youtube I know plays its sound and video through a flash based player, so there may be a problem with your browser flash plugin.
See what happens when you reinstall it. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
