I have Mepis installed on the harddrive on this computer.
To be cute, I wanted to see if I could change the BIOS settings
and boot up a live CD. Yup, I did...it's a version of Puppy that
I thought was 2.16 bu t I believe it's 2.14. How can I tell which
version of the Live CD I have now? I'm able to do quite a few
good things here, like save a session and boot up leaving the
CD in. The bad thing is, when I remove the CD I can't complete
the boot up for Mepis...YIKES!!! I also want to change the screen
resolution on Puppy but I don't see anywhere to do that except
on the first install..........Help

Yes, it is 2.14 Drats...a double mistake.
Not anymore.....I downloaded 2.16.1 to a new CD from the Puppy
burner software, took the 2.14 out, put the 2.16.1 in...and it transfered
the web sites I bookmarked and just gave me a good and better look
I'll have to decide if I should put this on my harddrive, but the way it
is right now, I don't know what I'd be gaining...I can just shut the computer
off and it re-boots to what I had...GREAT. There's somethings I'll have to
clear up like the screeen resolution, and fonts. Some sites (like this one)
the fonts can be made larger but they aren't dark enough.....I'm rambling.
Sorry, just glad that I got this far today............
