How did you identify your problem as Smitfraud? What are you having a problem with in the instructions and where did you download Smitfraudfix from?

Please clarify. Are you following instructions provided in the self-help guide "How to remove the Smitfraud/Generic Zlob"? Or are you following instructions provided to someone else in another topic posting?

Did you scan with Smitfraudfix or just download it?

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Redownload smitfraudfix (as its frequently updated) from the link in the guide I mentioned and then follow the instructions in that guide. When done perform the scans buddy215 suggested and let us know how your computer is running after that.

If references to smitfraud are still showing in your scans, let us know which scan is giving you this information and what exactly the scan is saying.
