I've been trying to install Pro Tracks (Cakewalk music recording) software but get an error message when I try to run it. The message reads:

CWPX.EXE - application error. The instruction at "0x7c80cf6d" referenced memory at "0x8044c2b1"The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the programme.

I'm using windows XP home with 1gb of ram. It requires .Net 1.1 and I have it and the updated v2 installed.
The software supports a Digitech vx 4000 effects unit connected by USB.

Any suggestions?

Sorry that I can't be of more help, but it seems like your best bet would be to either try the suggestion you were given here or maybe post your problem at the Cakewalk Forums.
