Hey there,

am I just blind or stupid? I am sure I ve seen the mods doing some editing and there was a nice field saying "reason for editing: some editing described here."
But when I am editing, I cannot see anything to enter that :flowers: . In the end it just says "post has been edited at bla bla by bla bla"

Thanks,

Johannes

Quick edit has that feature; full edit does not, or so it seems. Let me know if I am in error.

Testing.

Now testing "full edit". I do not see any edit "reason" box.

Now testing "quick edit". Still no "reason".

I'm thinking that Moderators may be getting a slightly different editting capability than us mere mortals.

If you are using Firefox, then JavaScript must be enabled.
Tools/Options/Content will produce a drop down menu; be sure that Javascript is enabled. Click on the "advanced" box and make sure that all five boxes are checked.

I'm still not able to find it.

I know on another board that I Admin the feature can be turned on or off for each member "group".

I'm still thinking that the Admins and Mods have this feature turned on, while it is not on for the "member" group.

Just a guess since I can't see the Admin control panel here.

Hey guys,

I am currently at work and just posted somewhere. Edited it by short and long method with IE and dont seem to work either.
...Thinking of it, this is my company's PC. The IT dept does some weird things with the PCs so you never know what settings they use  - our Internet even works via Netherlands, althaugh sitting in Germany (I believe all our European Offices are).

Cheers,

Johannes

I've never seen a reason for editing feature on BleepingComputer either, and it didn't matter which computer I was using either. I have seen that feature on a different forum I visit.

I do too most of the time. But if there is like a text field where you just put in the reason, its easier for lazy bums like me
