Somewhat earlier, I used to frequent a few technical/help forums off and on, mostly the old TechTV forums until it sold out and lost its identity. Then I found BC, which was just beginning, and began to contribute here and there in the various forums. What kept me here, and rather than elsewhere, was the different attitude that seemed to permeate the forums:---civilised , courteous writing and a genuine desire to help other people without any sort of superior attitude.
After quite a few posts and quite some time , I was asked if I would consider being a Moderator, and then even later, a Global Moderator. And I have been honored to help BC and its Members, pleased to meet so many fine people on the Staff , and proud to have helped in some small way BC's steady growth.
Regards,
John

Like jgweed perfectly stated, BC is more respected and upheld computer help site. In the HJT Forums (especially) you get nice and courtesy assistance without the rude attitude (like you should know something) about computers.

The community has grown immensely, and there are still quite a few people that are hear from the very beginning.

I stumbled upon BC through Google while trying to solve a particularly persnickety computer problem (though I don't remember what it was).

After getting my problem solved, I took a look around.

I liked the drapes and the carpeting so I moved right on in! My room's the third on the left, between the kitchen and the loo.

They didn't just lose their identity, it fell off the face of the earth. Not only did they destroy the tv station, but since the last 6 months the forums have become a laughing stock
