fraud, do any of the above mentioned detect key loggers. Im no pc whizz kid, just an old fart, but what I run
above is thast enough or to much? or is there anything else that would do a better job.
thanks in advance for any help.

Hi journeyman!
Welcome to BleepingComputer

  • You have AVG AntiVirus Free which is good, because every computer needs an AntiVirus program.

To add onto your protection, I would recommend downloading and installing the free programs listed below to run with the programs you already have; Windows Defender, Spybot, and Ad-Aware SE:

Also, it is important to install a firewall on your computer to keep out hackers; which will help to protect you from idenity theft or the stealing of personal information.
Below is a list of good free firewalls. Please choose only 1 and download and install it.

If there is anything else I can help you with, or if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

The only thing else that I could recommend would be to run online virus scanners also, here are three:

1. F Secure: http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml

2. Trend Micro's Housecall: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

3. Bit Defender: http://www.einfodaily.com/scan/licence.html

In my opinion, there is no antivirus that is 100% effective, so I use the online scanners for additional checks.
