I posted yesterday in the "Am I infected? What do I do?" forum. I feel a bit silly  ; the horrible Vundo pop-up problems my parents' computer once had seem to be gone now. Although I'm sure there are remaining pieces of the problems. I'm worried it may reboot itself after I once again leave them. Thank you for your time.

I have scanned and cleaned with with AdAware SE, CCleaner, Spybot Search and Destroy, Windows Defender, SmitFraudFix, NoLop, VundoFix, AVG Anti-Spyware, AVG Anti-rootkit, Drweb-curit, SDFix
After reboot, some things always comes back.

I also have HijackThis, Avenger, KillBox, OTMoveIt, and ComboFix ready and waiting if any problems are found.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum Trulie

My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

It appears you've no virus protection installed.
Download\install one of the following freeware options from the choice below.
Once installed update its definitions and then run a full system virus scan.

AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus:
http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup...ree_446a965.exe

Avast! 4 Home Edition:
http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe

Active Virus Shield
There's a nice setup tutorial Here:
http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivirus/freeav/

********************************

Disable Windows Defender's real-time protection,as it may interfere.
* Open Microsoft Windows Defender. Click Start>All Programs>Windows Defender.
* Click on 'Tools'>'Options'.
* Under 'Real-time protection options', unselect the 'Turn on real-time protection' check box
* Click 'Save'.

********************************

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
O3 - Toolbar: MSN - {BDAD1DAD-C946-4A17-ADC1-64B5B4FF55D0} - C:\Program Files\MSN Apps\MSN Toolbar\01.02.3000.1001\en-us\msntb.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Companion\Installs\cpn0\yt.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\ssv.dll (file missing)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\ssv.dll (file missing)

Fix these restrictions if you did'nt set them yourself:
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Exit Hijackthis.

********************************

Please download Combofix and save to your desktop:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/Beta/ComboFix.exe
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Also post a new Hijackthis log please.

You still have'nt installed the virus protection yet.
Download\install one of the following freeware options from the choice below.
Once installed update its definitions and then run a full system virus scan.

AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus:
http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup...ree_446a965.exe

Avast! 4 Home Edition:
http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe

Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic
http://www.free-av.com/

When you've finished,restart your pc.
Post a new Hijackthis log please.
Let me know how your pc is running now.

Sorry about that Richie; I assumed the AVG I had already was the same. I uninstalled the other AVG and downloaded the AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus from the link you provided.

It found nothing other than quarantined files. I'm hopeful that their computer is clean; it seems so from my novice perspective. Still no pop-ups or other problems after reboot.

Here is the requested HijackThis. Sorry again about my confusion, and thank you so much for your time.

Enable Windows Defender

Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
In the 'System Restore' window, click on the 'Create a Restore Point' button, then click 'Next'.
In the window that appears, enter a description\name for the Restore Point, then click on 'Create',wait, then click 'Close'.
The date and time will be created automatically.

Next click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup.
The 'Select Drive' box will appear, click on Ok.
The 'Disk Cleanup for [C:]' box will appear, click on the 'More Options' tab.
At the bottom in the 'System Restore' window, click on the 'Clean up...' button.
A box will pop up 'Are you sure you want to delete all but the most recent restore point?',click on 'Yes'.
Click on 'Yes' at 'Are you sure you want to perform these actions?'.
