When I double click on internet explorer, instead of opening the program it opens up the properties folder. It also does this on the other programs onthe desktop. Nothing has been changed in the mouse properties. I tried uninstalling the mouse and using a different mouse on the computer. I can't do a system restore because the mouse won't click. I can't seem to use the keyboard to tab over to where I need to be either. Any suggestions?
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then if you do, you are a mile away and you have his shoes.

The right Alt key was half way stuck down. That was the problem.
