Hello ktb and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I don't see any signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

CA will throw up warning for Malum when it is set to use advanced scanning for generic worms/trojans. According to their site, this is usually a false positive. Users of ZoneAlarm also seem to get these warnings at various times.

What is the specific file and path that is being reported by CA? We can have that file checked out to see if it is actually a problem or just a misreport by CA.

Cheers.

Hi ktb. Whatever the file is it is in the area that holds the System Restore points. these can be cleaned out by doing the following:

The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected)1. Turn off System Restore. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
2. Restart your computer.

3. Turn ON System Restore. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
[/list]System Restore will now be active again.

That should take care of it.

Cheers.
