Hi Futs,
I think I recall your first visit(s)
'cause I remember I hadn't seen the
South African flag much before.
Good to hear back from ya'.

I'm always curious about the deployment of technology
in places I'm unfamiliar with.

Details like internet connection services
IT development centers
number of people using PCs for personal use
or things of that nature.

My perspective as a user in the US
is not particularly accurate as a
rule of thumb around the world I wouldn't expect.
patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...

Down in the bayou, Bubba called an attorney and asked, "Is it true they're suin' the cigarette companies for causing people to get cancer?
"Sure is Bubba. But why you asking?"
"Cause what I want to know is, I was thinking, can I sue Budweiser for all them ugly women I've slept with?"

Avatar comes from a pic, Sig was done from that pic :flowers:,

@phawgg: I'm currently working as a support technican at a company called sahara ( http://www.sahara.co.za ) they expanding quite big.
The problem is ppl think that 3rd world countries are poor and technology is not common.
Well technology is the one thing that expands no matter where you are, we might just get it a month later  and also more expensive.
Internet is our worst asspect of telecomunications, as we only have ONE company and to make matters worse they are manopolied by our government.
meaning they can pretty much charge what they want because of the lack of competition. Our rates are as follows 1$ = R7 +-
they charging for the rent of the line R150
for ISP R89
For CallMore ( allows cheaper calls between 7pm and 7am) R50
then its calls excluded, for a 512Kbps ADSL line it works out to round about R600/month excl rent or modem :trumpet:

My basic sallary comes down to R2600 increasing to R3600 in 2 months time
So you see where that leaves us.

Oh and thanx for the warm welcome every one
