Canon's website doesn't seem to list a s100 printer. Although I was able to find multiple references to the error on google - it seems to relate to the print head parking setting. I'd suggest a good look at the printer's manual, or a support call to Canon.

Get an HP PS 8250 I bought mine at Circuit City. They were 200.00 then their website says 80.00 and then a 30.00 rebate.

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/Search.do?c....x=0&go.y=0 just the print head unit for your printer is about 56.00, according to canons web site.

If you've still got unopened cartridges for the Canon, then I'd get another printer that takes the same cartridges. If not, then go to a big retailer and have them demonstrate them to you until you find one that you like.

Printers are becoming a "throw away" item - they're cheaper to replace than they are to repair. As such, the manufacturer's make their money on the extras that you've gotta get with them (ink, paper, cables, etc).
