I'm lost and I'm hoping someone more experienced can help me out. I'm not sure if I am even infected with anything but these are the main issues that I am having:

1. My computer is randomly freezing. It doesn't blue screen or reboot it just stops dead in its tracks. It happens when I'm using it, browsing the internet, playing games etc. It also happens when I leave it alone doing nothing. Sometimes it happens once per day sometimes every couple hours. I though it may have been overheating but it happens at all different CPU/system temps. This problem is fairly new and has only been happening for about a week.

2. Windows takes on average 5min to start up. My computer posts fine its just windows that takes forever. Its been like this a couple months.

3. Internet Explorer does not work. It will open but wont do anything. This isn't really important because I use Firefox but it is just another annoyance.

I've followed the steps from Preparation Guide for use before posting a HijackThis Log.

Here is my HijackThis log.

Thanks in Advance for any and all help.

Hello gerget and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I don't see any signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

The HijackThis forum deals exclusively with virus and malware issues. HijackThis does not have the capability to analyze performance, hardware or application issues. For these types of issues I would suggest posting to the The techs in that forum specialize in matters pertaining to the operating system, performance and applications. When posting to any other forum, do not post a HijackThis log or the post will simply be moved back to this forum for infection analysis. That is what HijackThis is used for and that is what we specialize in here in this forum.

Also, when posting in any other forum for assistance, give as much detail as possible regarding any issues that are occurring. The more information they have, the better the techs can analyze the issue and make any recommendations for resolving it.

Cheers.

You are welcome gerget. I am sure that the techs in the XP forum will be able to sort things out.

I will now close this topic. If you have any malware related questions or issues in the future please start a new topic.

Cheers.
