No matter where I plug mouse (new mouse and current into) My mouse acts like it is on meth or speed -
It is running amok across the screen randomly.

Cant seem to catch it to put a collar on it -
When I do catch it I can only do so for a sec or two and
then it starts chasing again... (PS - no cheese on monitor)

Ran virus/malware programs - nothing there
3 differeent styles of mice - no changes
Reformatted and reinstalled mouse drivers/ports

Any ideas?

You may either have a faulty mouse or a faulty mouse port on your computer. Try using a different mouse and also try using that mouse on a different computer.

If you haven't got the problem fixed yet.

THis you may not believe but i have seen it work for this problem.

Open mouse folder>pointer options> and uncheck if checked "Enhance pointer precision".
