Internet Explorer Window Problem

hey guys... whenever I double click on the internet explorer icon everything connects ok... but it freezes right before my homepage. (I have my homepage set as google) I know its not my connection because I can plug it in my other computer. This is weird too.. if I open on internet window the first one wil freeze.. if I open another one it is fine. But I dont want to open two windows everytime. and if I want to exit the windows they both freeze. whats the problem?? thanks!!

What version of IE are you using 6 or 7?

where do I check?? Also I want to the serial key for microsoft office 2003.. where would I be able to find that?
