My Archos AV700 won't connect to my PC! Windows says it doesn't recognise the USB device. Sometimes, if I keep unplugging-plugging it in it will recognise it after a while. All other USB device work without any problems. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the USB ports but with no luck. Any ideas? Is it possible it could be a faulty cable and not the actual device. Help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bad cable.. I had the same symptoms with my Palm Treo. Since everything else works ok all signs point to a bad cable. You haven't had any problems with the Archos have you?

Got another Mini-B USB cable and it works like a charm. Such a relief. Thought the device might have be broken.
