Ok i was wondering if leaving my internet connection up while playing a game offline would effect anything? What i mean is does having it connected take up cpu or ram? Will it matter if i leave it up when i play a game my computer can barely handle?

It would depend on if you have any running processes/services that would be accessing the Internet for any reason.

Just out of curiosity, what game is it?

You can try network monitor, or any free network traffic capture software. Also try "Process Explorer".

Either way, I doubt it would hinder your game playing much at all. Spyware could though.

We allways suggest to install a software firewall like ZoneAlarm ( freebie!!), this will avoid access if configured propperly. For download links please check the links in my sig.
