Sound Has Stopped Since Deleting Regscan.exe

I recently deleted regscan.exe from my processes menu. Since then I've had no sound. I've checked all of the volumes and mutes I can find on the control panel, and they are ok. I figure I must have deleted regscan.exe incorrectly.

Please help me correct the problem and restore the sound.
