If you open My Computer and left mouse click on Desktop and turn off folder View. What you see to the left is.

File and Folder Tasks
Other Places
Details

This is what I have got on the Desktop. Somehow it has incorporated this with the Bliss Wallpaper.

Anyone know the steps to resolve this.

I have instructed my client to run various Antivirus, Malaware just to be safe.
I have checked on desktop Hijacking and this dosn't appear to be related. Unless something went wrong.

As far as I know Web features on desktop are disabled.

Can you change your wallpaper to something else, or are you stuck with that one?

Just got in touch with the client. He changed it to classic view. same prob but the area to the left is white.
He hasn't tried to change the background as he thought it was a registry problem?
He will get back in touch when he gets back to the PC. Thank you for the quick reply.

Is is entirely possible, since I can't see that PCs screen, that somewhere along the line the user selected "set as background" some image that they were viewing.

I've seen this cause some weird images to become a desktop background.

If they can change the background to something else; hopefully what they originally had, then this might be the problem, especially if what they now have selected as their background is listed as "Internet Explorer Wallpaper".

Here's hoping it's that simple.
