Hi there. Just a month or so ago I reformatted to get rid of cpvfeed. Now I've got cpvfeed and/ or retadpu on my pc, which bring up lots of popups and seem to be slwoing everything done a lot. I can't uninstall retadpu, I can't run regedit, I can't even start task manager. I've run Spybot and Adaware, ( the malaware section of the logfile said "bad checksum", incidentally), like last time, and deleted temp files, to no avail. Do you have any ideas?

Regards

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

You are welcome
Glad you got rid of the malware. You should follow the suggested instructions below.

Remove temporary files, logs, cookies, etc. by using Ccleaner. Do not use "Advanced Settings" or the "Issues" button. Use only the default settings. http://www.ccleaner.com/

FLUSH SYSTEM RESTORE---RESET RESTORE POINT
Turn off system restore. This will remove all restore points since some are infected . Turn system restore back on.

hey buddy215, i had retadpu and i've followed your instructions. first the super antispyware, then online bitdefender. they really cleaned up the system i guess. specially bitdefender has find the retadpu and various others and 1000 more must-be-deleted files.

but the problem is i cant open the windows now, when i open the pc it comes till the start of windows. then with a dark background, it asks the username and password, and it has my account name in username already but i dont know any passwords (i tried 123456 and that kind of stuff) , i press ok with blank password. so it goes to windows. showes the desktop without any icons and than it logs off the account and takes me back to the password/username question.

do you think its cause bitdefender erased some of the system files ? or is it about i not writing password. i dont think so, cause when i write it wrong, it doesnt take me to windows and back to password section, it just says password is wrong.
