Please help. My system is XP Home on a Toshiba Laptop, refurbished. I can't get my screen saver to turn on. Have tried changing settings, downloading and installing new one. Never turns on. Thanks for the help

don`t know if any use but if your not logged out screensaver won`t kick in.

It's difficult to repair the OS with a Toshiba repair disk - the disk is in an image format so you can't get at the needed files as easily.

Try running SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from the Run dialog.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
