can someone please tell me how i can view this information?I want to see what this info contains.

i didn't save them. they saved themselves as far as i can see. they are in drive C under documents and settings then under contacts.it shows a hotmail address example (bleepingcomputer@hotmail.com).when i click on open it comes up as : 0e599b04-7bf4-4e9b-a3b0-6375b4ea774d

5KB

and when i open that it comes up as : =aq)WԍQCv$Tޓy4`#~*=[\T`9bc?hpuz~9H+nШ

with alot more


do you know how to view this??? i'm not very good around computers

Hello,

These files I believe are records of all the contacts you have in your windows live messenger. count the files then count how many contacts you have in your account, they should match.

they are accounts of people who have used msn on my terminal. there is 1 of those accounts that i need to see.do you know how i can view them??

you might be able to open the file by using internet explorer or messenger itself.

Have you tried viewing them in Notepad?

Is this a work computer? Do you have a suspicion with one of the accounts that the person may have downloaded something malicious? I don't think there is any way to view the information in the file unless you log in to Messenger as the user in question.

no this is not a work computer. but i really need to see whats in this contacfile. someone's got mto know how to view this.
