Hello!

System:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2

Well heres my problem...

When I open my computer, my documents & close them I get this error [explorer.exe Application Error]
The instruction at "0x032513d2" referenced memory at "0x032513d2". The memory could not be "read"

I performed system restore hoping that my system would go back to it's no error state but still no effect...
So I restart to safe mode & perform system restore again auto shutdown then when I start it says system cannot be restored something like that... So I though my computer might be infected with something so run AVG it doesn't seem to detect any threat but still the explorer.exe error is there...
So I looked at my windows task manager & I saw a lot of svchost.exe running there so I googled it and some say it's a threat some say windows need it... Please help!

Hello and Welcome

First thing to do is not to worry,

The svchost.exe basically means service host it is a way for other applications to gain access to the internet. while this is perfectly normal, sometimes a infected file can use svchost.exe to do a number of potentially unwanted things.
To make sure that the system is clean, here are a couple of online anti virus scans...

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm

Follow the instructions and they will scan for viruses and other malware.

After they have finished, I would recommend downloading advanced windows care, http://www.iobit.com/AdvancedWindowsCarePe...al/download.htm this will find most windows problems and repair them.

Hope this helps, Let us know how you get on
Regards,

Alan.

Hello! Thanks for the instructions & for welcoming me
Panda manage to heal the virus but since panda lagged then refreshed I didn't have the chance to know what it is...
Advance windows care also remove the cookies in my computer & fixed the reg keys...
But when I scan once in a while using advance windows care the registry scan seem to detect reg key errors even though it said it already fixed the those keys... (once in a while I mean scan, repair then close windows care after hours open again & scan but It still scan reg key errors.)
And I still get the explorer.exe error when I close it or debug all in my screen except background & active process blinks... Also occasionally Internet Explorer closes when I use it.
