I Have two 250GB HDDs that are using RAID 1(mirroring) in a 230GB disk array running XP MC, and i would like to install Vista and still be able to use XP if i want.

It is partitioned like this:

Disk 0 Basic, 232.82GB [63MB FAT(Primary), "C:" 169.93GB NTFS(Primary), "Backup D:" 58.18GB NTFS(Extended, Logical), 4.64GB FAT32(Primary)]

Where and how should I install Vista?

I presume that your XP is on the C: partition. If that is true, then install Vista on the D: partition.

I'm just guessing here - but it seems that you've got 2 drives (partitions) on your mirrored RAID array. So each one should be backed up to the other drive in the array.

BUT - I can't see the second drive in the array, so i can't be sure. I'd wait for someone with more RAID knowledge than I've got (I'll be having this experience shortly when I mirror the wife's office computer).

Physically, there are two drives, but the RAID array makes the two drives, one. The second partition is logical, its not on another drive because there is only one....the RAID array
