After cleaning my PC as best I could my HDD Thermometer showed 21C and is now sitting at 39C. Is this too high? The loud noise has disappeared.

Those temps are well within the norm, don't sweat it. If they rise think about adding an exhaust fan.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
