I have some similar problems as the person who started this post.....Not all of the same problems for a few.

The post is called ... I have some of the same problems..

"Virtumonde,smitfraud, Plus Other Things"

Instead of going those all those fixes, would it be easy for me to just reformat? This would illiminate the porblems yes?

Im getting the func.js on start ups, which is probably joining to lead me back to java i would imagine. I got the problem playing on-line flash games. I was about to play a game, and a Java (fake window came up), and said i needed to update Java, and i fell for it.. My bad... So now i get rouge windows popping up at random times.. Should i reformat and reinstall my OS. or is there a simple fix for this... Allso what should i use to fix this, for find the problem? Thanks for your time and skills inadvance. i will check back frequently to respond.

Thanks.. CT

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

You can always reformat and start clean but then you loose the benefit of learning how to deal with malware infections. We have numerous self-help tutorials with step by step instructions on what you need to do.

For problems with Virtumonde, see the self-help guide "How To Remove Winfixer/Virtumonde/Msevents/Trojan.vundo".

For problems with smitfraud see the self-help guide for "How to remove the Smitfraud/Generic Zlob".
