I posted this last night under OS but received zero replies, hoped posting here would help.

Good evening everyone, it's been awhile since I been here for help, that's a good thing right? Well now I have a problem and I"ve come running to my buddies at bleeping cuz I know yall can help.

I keep getting a pop up window with the message:

WINDOWS FILE PROTECTION
Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows mush restore the original versions of these files. Insert Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM now.

Well, I put in the CD and get the message:

"Setup cannot continue because the version on your computer is newer than on CD. If you delete new version (one currently installed) files & settings cannot be recovered."

Please help! What's up, have I been hijacked? Will be checking in about every 30 minutes or so to see if I receive reply.
