It seems that I have something that is taking over my internet connection. I am using XP home SP1, dial up access. WHen I log onto my machine, even while not being online my network connections window pops up telling my that I or a program is requesting information from 80.241.171.185. If I tell it to connect, or if I close it out and connect normally, then it will connect to my ISP as normal. As soon as the connection is made, even without a browser open, the connection is taken over. When I open the internet connection status, it is rapidly sending data upstream, which is preventing me from using the connection. Sometimes it will not allow me to access anything, but sometimes I can surf, but the upstream transmission never ceases. I have noticed, while viewing the proccesses under the task manager, that as soon as the popup opens, a rasautou.exe file is opened, if I close the popup, the file goes away. Anyways, thanks in advance for all of the help, here is my log file:

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NTSF MICROSOFT SYSTEM] winreg32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [NTSF MICROSOFT SYSTEM] winreg32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [NTSF MICROSOFT SYSTEM] winreg32.exe
O16 - DPF: Win32 Classes -

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

c:\windows\system32\winreg32.exe

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.
